Engineer Gennaro Di Lauro
He graduated with honors in Civil Engineering - Structures Curriculum - in 2003.
He obtained a Ph.D. in "Structural and seismic retrofit" at the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Naples by which he has been collaborating in many research projects and in the development of courses and teaching materials in structural and seismic engineering.
In the scientific field, he deals with issues relating to earthquake engineering with particular focus to the vulnerability assessment of existing buildings and the use of innovative technologies such as seismic base isolation and integrative devices with energy dissipation.
He is writer/coauthor of several scientific papers published on magazine and international conferences.
He is specialized in the design of innovative materials such as aluminum alloys and carbon fiber reinforced polymer with several experiences in the use of structural international codes.
He performed several design and supervision works of building complexes and of seismic retrofit for private and public buildings, including in the international field.
