The Joint Venture formed by Aires Ingegneria, ALL Ingegneria and Eng. Roberto Giacchetti will be in Bhutan (Gelephu and Thimphu) in April to carry out hand-on and theory training courses for local engineers and workers on techniques for structural consolidation and seismic retrofit.
The training course is another important step of the overall international assignment named "Retrofitting Design, Implementation and Vulnerability Assessment".
This assignment is part of a larger project, funded by the World Bank, with the aim of improving the country's resilience against seismic risk.
In fact, the project just called "Bhutan: Improving Resilience to Seismic Risk", aims to improve the knowledge of seismic risk in the country, and to improve knowledge in terms of structural measures for mitigation and prevention.
